Meet the Team

Starting out as a one-man band in 1999, Robert has been at the helm since the very beginning. What was once a few paint pots over the handlebars of a bicycle is now a well established firm with over twenty staff and a superb office and storage facility in Grange-over-Sands. Robert is still heavily involved with the day to day running of the business and more often than not will be out and about looking at perspective jobs, or making sure everything is going to plan onsite. He’s incredibly grateful for the support of his wonderful team and is excited for the future of Different Strokes.

Joining Robert as his business partner in 2002, May continues to look after the businesses finances and ensures that side of the business is just so. It’s always been important to Different Strokes that an efficient and accurate job is carried out, and this extends to the behind the scenes operations too. On a daily basis, May process our invoices and spends a lot of time working with suppliers to ensure we can always get the best possible prices for your materials.

Practically part of the furniture, Simon knows everything there is to know about Different Strokes! After many years on the tools himself, Simon put down his paintbrush to assist Robert with the surveying of our perspective jobs and ensuring that those jobs in progress are being carried out to our exacting standards. Simon spends his time working with new customers, preparing your quotes, and visiting our sites.
